Fleetwood Mac have announced a North American reunion tour that will kick off Sept. 30. As expected, it will be the band’s first trek since singer-keyboardist Christine McVie rejoined the classic rock group after a 16-year absence.
The classic-era lineup will launch the 34-date/33-city “On With The Show Tour” in Minneapolis on Sept. 30 before hitting most major markets through the end of the year. Notable stops include Madison Square Garden in New York City on Oct. 6 and a two-night stand at the recently renovated Forum in Los Angeles on Nov. 28 and 29.
Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie made the announcement on NBC’s “Today” show on Thursday. This will be McVie’s first time on the road with the band since 1998’s The Dance tour.
“She had us all seriously convinced that she would never come back,” Nicks said on the morning show.

Billboard confirmed with Mac’s publicist in January that McVie had rejoined the band and that a tour announcement “for the full tilt Macsters” was in the works. Fans had been teased with a possible McVie reunion since September 2013, when word first broke that she was going to rejoin her bandmates for a pair of concerts in London. She appeared with the band — for just one song (“Don’t Stop”) each night — on Sept. 25 and 27 at the O2 Arena.
McVie joined the band in 1970 and continued on with the group for the next 28 years as a principle songwriter, vocalist and keyboardist. She wrote some of the act’s biggest Billboard Hot 100 chart hits, including “Say You Love Me” (No. 11 peak, 1976), “Don’t Stop” (No. 3, 1977), “You Make Loving Fun” (No. 9, 1977), “Hold Me” (No. 4, 1982), “Little Lies” (No. 4, 1987) and “Everywhere” (No. 14, 1988).
Fleetwood Mac’s last full-scale tour, in 2012, included 69 dates of which 45 reported to Billboard Boxscore. The total gross for these shows was $61,899,473 with 554,548 tickets sold, with an average attendance of 12,323, according to Boxscore.
General admission tickets for the Live Nation-supported tour go on sale March 31.
