Hey girls, hey boys, superstar DJs. Here we go, again.
The Chemical Brothers return “The Darkness That You Fear,” their first release since 2019’s No Geography.
Bros Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands have mellowed with age, if “Fear” is anything to go by. It’s a summery tune, framed around soulful vocals and not a signature sonic boom in sight.
The dynamic duo have six No. 1s on the Official U.K. Albums Chart, most recently with Born In The Echoes from 2015. No Geography peaked at No. 4 in their homeland, and won a brace of Grammy Awards, for best dance recording and best dance/electronic album. The Chems won the Brit Award for British dance act back in 2000.
