The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. His birthday is Feb. 16, 1990, and his height is 5'8". He launched his career by anonymously uploading his music to YouTube, and released his first mixtape, 'House of Balloons,' in 2011; the project reached No. 113 on the Billboard 200. His debut studio album, 'Kiss Land,' came in September 2013 and peaked at No. 2, with 2018's 'My Dear Melancholy' EP becoming his first No. 1 album. "Wicked Games" was his debut single, and it reached a peak of No. 53 on the Hot 100 in 2013. Since then, he has had multiple No. 1 songs, including 2015's "The Hills" and "Can't Feel My Face," and "Save Your Tears" and "Die for You" with Ariana Grande. Other artists he's collaborated with include Drake, Doja Cat, Daft Punk, Maluma and Post Malone. He has earned multiple Grammys, including best urban contemporary album for 'Starboy' in 2018, and best R&B performance for "Earned It" in 2016.
