After Game of Thrones came to an end on Sunday night, fans everywhere said farewell to their favorite characters and took to Twitter to express their love for (or disappointment with) the show. One of those fans was Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness, who shared his thoughts on the finale the only way he knows how: while doing someone’s hair.
On Tuesday (May 21), Funny or Die released the final episode of Gay of Thrones, Van Ness’ recap series in which he dishes on each episode of Game of Thrones while styling a friend’s hair. In this final episode (hilariously titled “The Iron Throb”), Van Ness was joined by comedian Celeste Barber to weep over the ending of their favorite show.

The two chatted about the death of Daenerys Targaryen, the new King Bran Stark, Jon Snow’s fate beyond the wall and more, all while using each of their personalized nicknames that Van Ness has given them throughout the series’ run. “Unnecessary nicknames are so obnoxious,” Van Ness cracks, before jumping back into calling the new Queen of the North “Sansa Fierce.”
As the show came to a close, Van Ness looked back on the show, saying he was thankful for being able to share the experience with his friends and fans. “Say what you will about this beloved series and how it all came to an end, but these stories that have brought us all together to just recap and chat have been some of the most amazing and fun times of my baby gay life,” he said, before letting Barber joke, “I haven’t really watched it.”
Just as Van Ness uttered his very last “Where are my dragons?” — the phrase he would use to end every show — the scene cuts to the inside of a decorative egg, where the other four members of Queer Eye’s Fab Five played baby dragons waiting to be hatched. “Don’t worry, I’ll get you guys out of there faster than an angry Game of Thrones fan rushes to Twitter,” Van Ness says.
