Queer Eye’s food and wine expert Antoni Porowski has caught some flak since the show’s February release on Netflix. Fans poked fun at the star online, saying that he couldn’t cook based on the simplistic recipes he featured on the show, including guacamole, macaroni and cheese, hot dogs and grilled cheese.
But the food connoisseur is going to show the people what he can do with a yet-to-be-titled cookbook coming out next year. Porowski revealed to Entertainment Weekly that he landed a deal with Rux Martin of publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for a 100-recipe cookbook.
The cookbook will consist of some recipes that are similarly simple to the ones Porowski featured during the first season of Queer Eye, along with a few recipes intended to be more complex. “I could not be more thrilled to be writing about the recipes I love and think are essential to any novice home cook, professional, and somewhere in between,” the star told EW in a statement.
Porowski also said that he was excited to be working with Martin, a man with whom he said he made a fast connection. “We immediately bonded on the importance of hors-d’oeuvres and our mutual love for Vermont, and I can’t wait to publish this book and share my personal recipes with the world,” he said.

The cookbook is set to be released in the spring of 2019. Fans who are anxious to see more of Porowski before then are in luck — the second season of Netflix’s hit show is expected to roll out later this year.
