Chris Stapleton was nominated for a trio of awards at the 2017 CMAs on Wednesday night (Nov. 8), so it only made sense that the revered songwriter took the stage for a song of his own. With his wife Morgane Stapleton and the rest of his backing band, Stapleton tore through “Broken Halos,” the lead track off his 2017 album, From A Room: Volume 1.
It was a short and sweet performance, but it was still a reminder of Stapleton’s songwriting and guitar-playing prowess. Fans will soon get another dose of it, as the second installment of From a Room is set to drop Dec. 1.
