Arcade Fire Nominated for Three mtvU Woodie Awards

Canadian alternative rockers Arcade Fire leads this year’s mtvU Woodie Awards nominations with three.

Other artists receiving multiple nominations include Oscar nominee Pharrell Williams, Jay Z, Imagine Dragons, Disclosure and Chance the Rapper, all with two apiece.

Arcade Fire will vie for the Woodie of the Year, aka the artist of the year award, along with Imagine Dragons, Lorde, Williams, Drake, Zedd and Disclosure.

MTVu Reveals Details for the 2014 Woodie Awards and Music Festival

The Breaking Woodie, aka best emerging artist award, includes Bastille, Martin Garrix, The 1975,Jhene Aiko, Sam Smith and Mack Wilds.

The mtvU Woodie Awards, taking place at South by Southwest, will air as a 30-minute special on MTV and mtvU on Sunday, March 16, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Voting runs through March 6 on MTV.com.
