Britney Spears Teases ‘I Wanna Go’ Video
Britney Spears has debuted 30 seconds of the video for her latest “Femme Fatale” single, “I Wanna Go.” In the Chris Marrs Piliero-directed clip, Brit stands atop a car and wields a microphone as a quite literal weapon against the paparazzi. The pop star has certainly come a long way since her 2003 video for “Everytime,” where she was the one being assaulted by paparazzi. Watch below (and notice a nod to Spears’ film debut, “Crossroads,” with a marquee reading “Crossroads 2: Cross Harder”).
‘Glee’ Cast to Graduate
Glee creator and co-producer Ryan Murphy stopped by Ryan Seacrest‘s radio show on Friday (June 17) and announced that the current “Glee” cast will “graduate” after this coming season, the show’s third. “We didn’t want to have a show where they were in high school for eight years,” he told Seacrest. Matthew Morrison and Jane Lynch will stay on as the male and female “lynchpins” of the series. Murphy and fellow showrunners Ian Brennan and Brad Falchuk will cast new members of the show’s titular glee club “New Directions.” (NME)
OK Go Premieres New Album On Mashable
OK Go, a band best known for its clever YouTube music videos, have debuted its new live album on tech news website Mashable. The album’s title, “180/365,” refers to the 180 days the band spent touring in the past year, during which time OK Go recorded nearly 100-200 hours of live cuts from past albums. The album drops tomorrow (June 21), but fans can have a listen over at Mashable’s site now. (Mashable)
Ellie Goulding Joins Music to Know Festival
British pop songstress (and Royal Family favorite) Ellie Goulding has been added to the lineup of New York music festival Music to Know, joining a roster that includes Vampire Weekend, Matt & Kim and Bright Eyes. Goulding will perform during day one of the new two-day festival in East Hampton. (MusictoKnow.com)
