The Wreckers, a country-leaning duo that features singer/songwriter Michelle Branch, will release its debut, “Stand Still, Look Pretty,” May 23 via Maverick/Warner Bros. Nashville. The 12-track set pairs Branch paired with longtime collaborator Jessica Harp, who previously sang backup for the Grammy award-winner. The Wreckers debuted their material last year during a U.S. tour.
Among the tracks set for inclusion is a cover of Patty Griffin’s “One More Girl” and “The Good Kind,” which previously appeared on the 2005 “One Tree Hill” soundtrack.
Paul Worley, who has worked behind the boards for artists like Big & Rich, Dixie Chicks and Martina McBride, co-produced the effort with John Leventhal and John Shanks, both of whom produced for Branch previously.
The album’s first single, “Leave the Pieces,” is now available for preview through AOL music. At present, the Wreckers’ lone upcoming live date is April 2 at Indianapolis’ MyCoke festival.
