Dua Lipa and Seth Meyers are ink buddies for life. On her recent visit to Late Night, the 28-year-old pop star and talk-show host got matching tattoos on camera with the help of a little liquid courage.
To prep for their permanent body art, the duo first took tequila shots poured down a Barbie Dreamhouse slide as two dolls that looked just like Lipa and Meyers looked on. The nervous former Saturday Night Live cast member then needed a couple more shots before proceeding with his first ever tattoo, for which the “Levitating” singer — who estimated she has about 20 already — suggested a tiny star.
“Oh my god, this is perfect, I’m very excited,” Lipa said just before a tattoo artist added a star to her inner ankle. “We’re going to be, like, bonded for life.”

Meyers probably wanted to pull a “Houdini” and escape when it came time for his turn under the needle, but he took it like a champ. After they were done, he and Lipa shared a big hug.
Just a few weeks prior, Meyers and the English singer-songwriter went out together for a day of drinking for a segment on Late Night. Lipa is currently gearing up to release her third album, which she confirmed last year would be arriving in 2024.
And in addition to being fresh off the release of her latest single “Houdini,” she’s also been enjoying awards show recognition for her Barbie soundtrack single “Dance the Night.” The track was up for best original song, motion picture at Sunday’s (Jan. 7) Golden Globes (the prize ultimately went to another Barbie piece, Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?”) and has been shortlisted for best original song at this year’s Oscars.
