GOT7 made their Today Show debut today (June 26), where they unveiled a new English version of their most recent single “Eclipse.”
The group, which features members BamBam, Jackson, JB, Jinyoung, Mark, Youngjae, and Yugyeom, was the first K-pop group to appear on NBC’s longrunning morning show. They appeared during the Today with Hoda & Jenna segment, where they talked with Jenna Bush Hager and Maria Shriver and performed “Eclipse.”
During their interview, GOT7 spoke about their fans, expressing their bond with their fandom, known as IGOT7 or Ahgase.
“All the fans respect our private lives, they give us some space,” said BamBam, the group’s Thai member, after being asked if they could walk down the street together without being recognized.
“We have a good relationship with our fandom,” said Jackson Wang, who hails from Hong Kong.

“They mean everything to us, because without our fans I don’t think that would be able to come here to the Today Show too,” added California-born Mark. “We have a special bond with them.”
The appearance came ahead of the group’s show at the nearby Prudential Center in Newark tomorrow (June 27), the first North American stop of their Keep Spinning world tour.
As the appearance aired, the hashtag “GOT7onTodayShow” trended worldwide as fans of the group, known as IGOT7 or Ahgases, grew excited about the occasion.
