Iann Dior and Clean Bandit‘s recently-released collaboration “Higher” already has a breezy, tropical-tinged melody that is perfect for lounging on the beach — so where better to record a performance video than in Jamaica?
The group flew down to the Caribbean island to shoot a scenic music video and stopped by Bob Marley’s former recording studio for the new performance clip, which you can get an exclusive first look at on Billboard below.
In the new video, Dior performs the song with Clean Bandit at the audio board, fittingly surrounded by Jamaican flags and photos of Marley’s face.
“Traveling to Jamaica with Clean Bandit for the making of this track was an experience I’ll never forget,” the 21-year-old “Mood” singer tells Billboard in a statement. “It was super dope shooting the video and performing at Bob Marley’s old studio too – Marley was such a legend and a constant inspiration in my life.”

“We’ve fallen in love with Jamaica,” Clean Bandit adds. “We spent a lot of time there last year. The people, the food, the culture, and the artistry and creativity especially. We’ve done a lot of recording and collaborating over there and shooting videos with Iann for our current single was really special.”
“We shot a full, kind of, story video at various stunning locations with drones and all sorts (including Shaggy!),” they continue, “but also this much more pure, studio version — we’d had recording sessions at Tuff Gong and it has an overwhelming sense of history about it so we wanted to film something there too, and it was a wonderful experience.”
