Illenium Announces ‘Ascend’ Album & North American Tour

Days after unveiling a cinematic music video for “Good Things Fall Apart,” Illenium announces his third studio album Ascend. It follows his previous LPs Ashes and Awake and serves as the final chapter in a trilogy about overcoming adversity, characterized by the life stages of Illenium’s fiery phoenix mascot.

The dance-pop artist hasn’t revealed any details about what it might sound like, but he does follow the news with a 30-date tour announcement that’ll hit arenas including New York City’s Madison Square Garden and Atlanta’s Coca Cola Roxy. The Ascend tour kicks off in September and runs through early October.

Ascend is due out Aug. 16 on Astralwerks, though it’s now available for preorder. Tickets for the subsequent tour are now available for presale. Sales open to the general public June 21, except for Indianapolis, Austin, Dallas and Houston which go on sale June 28. Check the full tour dates and album artwork below.
