Korean-American singer/actress and fashion entrepreneur Jessica Jung has signed with Stateside entertainment company United Talent Agency (UTA).
Jung, who was a member of the popular K-pop girl group Girls’ Generation from its inception in 2007 until 2014, will continue to be repped by Coridel Entertainment and East West Artists. UTA will oversee her North American activities.
The 29-year-old was born and raised in San Francisco and pursued a career in South Korea’s K-pop scene. After departing her former act, Jung released her first solo EP, With Love, J, in 2016, which peaked at No. 4 on Billboard‘s World Albums chart. She has since released two more albums, including last year’s My Decade, which was fronted by the single “Summer Storm.”
“I have the utmost confidence in UTA’s abilities to help me develop and expand my career globally,” Jung said of her new agency.
Along with singing, Jung has pursued acting and modeling, and in 2014, she began her Blanc & Eclare fashion brand; the line currently operates 60 stores worldwide.
