Paris Jackson got the stamp of approval from her grandmother Katherine Jackson at a fundraiser concert Saturday (Aug. 11) in Los Angeles.
The 88-year-old mother of Michael Jackson, who is rarely seen in public, came out to watch her granddaughter’s performance with her new acoustic rock duo The Soundflowers at the Canyon Sessions fundraiser for F–k Cancer.
“F–k. I can’t believe my grandma made it to our second live show ever,” Paris Jackson captioned video clips of the performance on Instagram. “And she actually liked it!?!!! I was s–tting my pants. I love you so much grandma. I’m so happy we got to play for you and to play for such an incredible cause. @thesoundflowers @canyonsessions @austinbrown #fcancer.”
The concert marked the model’s second-ever concert with The Sunflowers, which includes fellow singer and musician Gabriel Glenn. Paris Jackson has sung, played guitar, and written songs for years now, but doesn’t see herself pursuing a professional music career.

“There are so many amazing artists in my family,” she said in interview for Carine Roitfeld’s CR Fashion Book (via E!). “If I were to do it as a career, it would change how I feel about music and I don’t want that to happen.”
