They say the best things come in threes, and that has certainly been true for Robyn. The Swedish pop star performed three highlights from her “Body Talk” trilogy at Saturday’s (Dec. 11) Nobel Peace Prize concert in Norway, which was hosted by Anne Hathaway and Denzel Washington.

“I just wanted to be here tonight representing Sweden,” said Robyn, after being introduced as a “remarkable voice” by Hathaway and kicking off her mini-set with “Jag Vet En Dejlig Rosa,” the haunting Swedish-language track from “Body Talk Pt. 1.” She then rocked robotic dance moves during the more uptempo, Grammy-nominated “Dancing On My Own” and got hardcore on “Indestructible.” The audience kept their enthusiasm limited mostly to polite applause in between numbers, but maybe that’s because the Swede’s dance-pop is better suited for sweaty nightclubs rather than a seated ceremony.
The performance capped off a banner year for Robyn, who toured throughout 2010 and has already graced many a year-end list “Body Talk” albums. “It used to be enough to release an album every third or fourth year,” she recently told Billboard. “What I’ve done is figure out a way to keep myself up to speed, to stay inspired and be liked in this kind of new landscape.
