After walking the 2016 Emmy Awards red carpet on Sunday (Sept. 18), in a “sunshine yellow” floor-length, custom Vera Wang dress, actress Taraji P. Henson presented the Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Emmy to Ben Mendelsohn for Bloodline in a surprise second gown.
Taraji P. Henson’s Stylist Breaks Down Her Emmy Awards Outfit: Exclusive
Styled by Jason Bolden, her friend and collaborator over the last four years, Henson wore an all sequin, long sleeve, keyhole chocolate brown and espresso custom Vera Wang dress.
“It’s an ah and ooh to the disco Studio 54 diva in Taraji,” said Bolden. While they removed the Lorraine Schwartz diamonds she wore on the carpet, Henson kept on the same Jimmy Choo heels. “It’s super clean because the dress speaks for itself,” he added.
And as for the stylist’s final thoughts on Henson’s look? “These two beautiful gowns speak to Taraji’s multifaceted nature. The red carpet look is chic yet sexy and the second look is completely sultry glamour. Thank God for the hand of Vera Wang!”
