South Korean duo XXX released their new song “Just Like” and announced their next album on Friday (Oct. 19).
The new song features Kim Ximya’s outlandish flow as he raps in English and Korean over FRNK’s quirky melody, which incorporates hip-hop, electronica, and other elements as it squeaks and pounds along.
An experiential, abrasive song that comes off as almost tactile due to the layered soundscape, “Just Like” precedes the release of the subversive pair’s upcoming Language album. It will be their first album since 2016’s KYOMI, and was preceded earlier this year by the release of “What You Want” in February.
