Blueface looks to keep the spotlight on him after bursting onto the scene in 2018. The Los Angeles rapper returned Thursday (May 2) with a new track and visual to “Stop Cappin.” The Aaron Greene-directed flick finds Blueface Baby in the role of a janitor at a local LA establishment, where he “mops the floor and removes the wet sign” in a clear nod to previous standout track “Respect My Cryppin.'”
A hater tries to pull up on the 22-year-old during work hours, but a shrewd Blueface sets him up and catches his detractor slipping. The rest of the visual finds the “Thotiana” rapper riding around Los Angeles in a bulletproof vest, as he’s even joined by Cash Money boss Birdman in the passenger seat.
The Cash Money West signee then makes note of his meteoric rise by captivating listeners with another braggadocious-yet-basic set of rhymes. “I always stood out, ’cause I was too ahead to fit in/ No pot to piss in, now my gold really pissing/ Blueface bust-down, Aquafina on my pendant/ Grown-ass man, baby, I ain’t got no dependent,” he barks.
