After unleashing their SR3MM triple album earlier in the year, Rae Sremmurd didn’t let 2018 expire without gifting their fans a pair of vastly different Christmas-themed tunes. Swae Lee‘s “Christmas at Swae’s” and Slim Jxmmi’s “Nothing for Christmas” both hit streaming services Friday morning (Dec. 21).
The somber “Christmas at Swae’s” finds Lee regretfully reflecting on a failed relationship that’s forced him to spend the holiday season alone.
“I didn’t have you under my tree this Christmas/ But I had you all over my wish list / Ho ho ho ohhhhh/ You’re not under my mistletoe,” he emotionally croons in despair.

Jxmmi’s “Nothing for Christmas” spikes the energy levels to the opposite end of the spectrum when compared to his brother. The Mike WiLL Made-It-produced bop will have you dancing around the Christmas tree with an eggnog in hand.
At first, the 26-year-old explains that he wouldn’t be buying his girl any gifts, but he quickly contradicts himself and goes on to name a few expensive presents she may find in her stocking.
“Let me contradict myself/ I just bought my baby Chanel (Hold up)/ Even though she like to act up/ I took her to get the D-cups/ Baby say she wants a new butt,” Jxmmi raps.
Billboard caught up with Swae Lee to look back at his decorated 2018. He also happened to divulge major plans for his next album that’s coming sooner than you think.
“I’m thinking to drop it in late January or February,” says the “Hurt to Look” singer. “Maybe about 12 songs. Just all bangers! With this project, I’m not playing. I’m stepping on n—as’ throats. I’m gonna up the standards for these 2010-whatever artists. I’m gonna push the music forward.”
