Newly minted Grammy nominee Tyrese Gibson and hip-hop legend Rev Run will premiere their OWN primetime series It’s Not You, It’s Men on Jan. 23 (9 p.m. ET/PT). The two co-hosts will discuss their differing perspectives on relationships and marriage in front of a studio audience. Among the guests slated for the talk show’s eight hour-long episodes are Gibson’s Fast and the Furious co-star Vin Diesel, singer Jordin Sparks and comedian Marlon Wayans, discussing everything from monogamy and dating to sex. Relationship experts, including Tinder founder/CEO Sean Rad, will also weigh in on various topics. Gibson will be vying for a Grammy statuette in two categories come Feb. 15: best R&B song and best traditional R&B performance, both for his hit single “Shame.”

The life and influential legacy of Otis Redding will be the focus of an upcoming Grammy Museum exhibit. Respect!: Otis Redding and the Revolution of Soul will open Jan. 22 and run through September 2016. Located on the museum’s fourth floor, the exhibit will display artifacts from the private collection of the Otis Redding Estate. Among them: the late singer/songwriter’s 1968 Grammy for best R&B vocal performance for “(Sittin’ on) the Dock of the Bay,” original state outfits and rare photographs. Also next September, the Redding Estate and the Otis Redding Foundation will present a 75th anniversary salute to Redding—including an all-star tribute concert—in Macon, Georgia (Sept. 9-11).
Legendary a cappella female ensemble Sweet Honey in the Rock will release its 24th album on Jan. 22. #LoveInEvolution (SHE-ROCKS 5, Inc./Appleseed Recordings) features new single “IDK, But I’m LOL,” available on iTunes and Amazon. Member Nitanju Bolade Casel produced the Grammy-nominated group’s first studio release in nine years, once again showcasing Sweet Honey’s famously eclectic mix of R&B/soul, jazz, blues, gospel and African chants. Casel is one of four core vocalists alongside Aisha Kahlil and founding members Louise Robinson and Carol Maillard. Rounding out the lineup is American Sign Language interpreter Shirley Childress. Established more than 40 years ago in Washington, D.C., Sweet Honey in the Rock will perform at New York City’s Carnegie Hall on Feb. 11.
