The British rock veteran was best known for his cover of the Beatles’ “With a Little Help from My Friends,” which was used as the theme song for the TV series “The Wonder Years,” as well as the 1982 single “Up Where We Belong,” which topped the Hot 100 chart and won Cocker his only Grammy Award, for best pop performance by a duo or group with vocal.
