24kGoldn’s ‘Mood’ Holds Top Spot on U.K. Chart
Headie One's 'Edna' leads an all-new Top 3 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart
24kGoldn’s “Mood” (RECORDS/Black Butter) makes it a month at No. 1 in the U.K., while north London rapper Headie One bags the national albums chart title with Edna (Relentless).
“Mood,” the San Francisco rapper’s collaboration with Iann Dior, enters a fourth week at No. 1 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart with a comfortable lead of 8,200 combined sales, the Official Charts Company reports.
Its closest rival, Headie One’s “Ain’t It Different,” featuring AJ Tracey and Stormzy, lifts 4-2 for a new chart peak. Headie One has a week to remember, as the Tottenham artist also grabs the highest new entry on the singles chart with “Princess Cuts” featuring Young T and Bugsey at No. 11, and a third Top 40 with “Parlez-Vous Anglais” featuring Aitch, new at No. 24.

Meanwhile, teenage Canadian singer and songwriter Tate McRae bags her first Top 5 single as “You Broke Me First” (Ministry of Sound) improves 7-5, while Miley Cyrus’ “Midnight Sky” (RCA) rises 8-6, a new high.
Further down the list, Fleetwood Mac enjoy a dream return to the Top 40 with a 43-year-old song.
The Hall of Famers can thank a man with a skateboard and a bottle of cranberry juice, and a long list of TikTok copycat videos as their classic song “Dreams” (Rhino/Warner Bros) lifts 55-37. The track last appeared in the Top 40 in 1977.
Over on the Official U.K. Albums Chart, Headie One starts at the summit with his debut album Edna, inspired by and named after his late mom.
Another British rap debut album starts at No. 2, D-Block Europe’s The Blue Print (D-Block Europe), while John Lennon’s Gimme Some Truth (Apple Corps), a new collection produced by his widow Yoko and son Sean, bows at No. 3, soon after what would have been the late artist’s 80th birthday.
Finally, Scottish indie outfit Travis bag their 9th Top 10 album with Ten Songs. It’s new at No. 5.
