Jon Bon Jovi Tests Positive For COVID-19, Cancels Fan Event

Jon Bon Jovi was forced to cancel a show in Florida on Saturday (Oct. 30) after testing positive for COVID-19.

Bon Jovi singer Jon Bon Jovi was forced to cancel a concert in Florida on Saturday (Oct. 30) after testing positive for COVID-19. The veteran singer was slated to perform at the “Runaway With JBJ” fan event at the Miami Loews South Beach for Q&A sessions, photo ops and an acoustic performance for fans, who were informed near showtime that the singer’s pre-show rapid test came back positive.

Publicist Kristen Foster — tells Billboard that the 59 year-old singer is “fully vaccinated and feeling fine” and is currently isolating and doesn’t have any future public events scheduled at the moment.

Bon Jovi was to be backed by the Kings of Suburbia at the show, where the approximately 200 fans were required to be either vaccinated or show proof of a recent negative test. Back in March 2020 near the beginning of the pandemic, Bon Jovi keyboardist David Bryan was one of the first major artists to say they’d tested positive for the virus that has killed more than 746,000 Americans and in excess of five million people worldwide to date.

At press time it did not appear that Bon Jovi had addressed his positive test. The news came just days after Ed Sheeran confirmed that he was isolating after testing positive for COVID and Bryan Adams canceled his planned appearance at the 2020 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday night to perform as part of a Tina Turner tribute after he contracted COVID.
