London Grammar Hurtling to U.K. Chart Crown With ‘Californian Soil’

London Grammar are digging out another U.K. No. 1 with "Californian Soil" (Ministry of Sound), their third album.

London Grammar are digging out another U.K. No. 1 with Californian Soil (Ministry of Sound), their third album.

The alternative-pop trio’s new set bolts to the lead on the midweek chart by outselling the rest of the Top 5 combined, the OCC reports.

Californian Soil is the market leader for sales (physical and digital) in the first half of the week, and should give the group their second leader following 2017’s Truth Is A Beautiful Thing. London Grammar’s self-titled debut reached No. 2 on the weekly chart in 2013.
