Quincy Jones Joins $1 Million Funding Round For Musicians’ Network Jammcard

Musicians' network Jammcard has announced a new $1 million funding round, with the legendary Quincy Jones taking part.

For the past few years, Los Angeles-based startup Jammcard has endeavored to help connect musicians in various cities to each other on a professional invite-only network to either form backing bands for the likes of Gwen Stefani, Zedd and Maren Morris or for exclusive events called JammJams. Today, the company has announced a new $1 million funding round, with the legendary Quincy Jones taking part.

“I’m excited and supportive about what Jammcard is doing for music professionals,” Jones said in a statement provided to Billboard. “Jammcard elevates the industry in new ways, from connections and new opportunities, to helping represent themselves in a freelance world.”

While the app kicked off in L.A., this past year has seen its network expand with new headquarters in Atlanta and Nashville, each of which was commemorated with a JammJam event featuring musicians from each city. In addition to Jones, the company says it has a variety of angel investors and entertainment industry figures who contributed to this latest funding round.
