Thinking about joining Paramount+? A free trial is the best way to test out a streaming platform to see if it’s a good fit — and Walmart is allowing customers to join the platform at no extra cost.
Shoppers can receive a free subscription to Paramount+ included with any Walmart+ subscription, the retail giant announced last September. A Walmart+ subscription is $12.95 a month (or $98 for the annual plan) after a 30-day free trial and unlocks free access to the Paramount+ Essential plan.

Not interested in subscribing to Walmart+? There are other ways to go about getting a free trial to Paramount+. One of the easier options would be to go directly through the platform. Right now, Paramount+ is offering a 30-day free trial at sign up (up from a week free).
Read on for more details on the extended free trial and price increases.
How to Get a 30-Day Free Trial to Paramount+
Landing a 30-day free trial to Paramount+ is easier than you think. But first, let’s talk pricing.
Did Paramount+ raise its prices? Yes. Now that Paramount+ and Showtime have merged, you’ll have to pay a bit more to join — but not very much. The Paramount+ Essential Plan, which gives you access to tons of TV shows and movies with limited commercials, increased a dollar to $5.99/month (or $59.99/year). The ad-free plan got a small price bump as well to $11.99/month, but it now includes Showtime, along with everything in the Essential Plan and access to your local CBS station.
After the free trial ends, your plan will automatically renew at the regular rate, but you can cancel anytime.
Paramount+ features a mountain of entertainment with a growing list of original programs such as Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, The Family Stone, Fatal Attraction, Joe Pickett, 1923, 1883, Wolf Pack, Tulsa King, RuPaul’s Drag Race, Evil, Coyote, iCarly, The Offer, The Good Fight, The Challenge All Stars, All Star Shore, Mayor of Kingstown, Seal Team, Ink Master, Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Picard, Why Women Kill, The Stand, Cecilia, The Envoys, Criminal Minds: Evolution, School Spirits and Rabbit Hole.
You can also reality shows on Paramount+ including Teen Mom, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta, Are You the One?, Survivor, and Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out.
Love movies? Paramount+ has a large variety of films such as Dungeons & Dragons, Top Gun: Maverick, Scream VI, Scream V, Smile, At Midnight, Orphan First Kill, Sonic the Hedgehog: 2, The Lost City, Secret Headquarters, Honor Society, Jackass Forever, Indiana Jones movies and more.
In addition to tens of thousands of TV episodes and tons of movies, exclusives from MTV, BET, Nickelodeon and more, Paramount+ has NFL on CBS, PGA, Champion League and other must-watch sports.
New and upcoming releases on Paramount+ include Tough as Nails (season five), MTV Cribs (season 18), PAW Patrol: Mission PAW, El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera, Disquiet, and sporting events and series Beyond Limits: Power Players and the Rolex United Sail Grand Prix Chicago.
More Ways to Save With Paramount+
Can you still get a year free Paramount+ on T-Mobile? Unfortunately, T-Mobile’s “Paramount+ On Us” offer is no more. Even though you can’t land a year free through T-Mobile and Sprint wireless plans, T-Mobile Home Internet and T-Mobile for Business plans, you can still sign up for Paramount+ through your T-Mobile of Sprint account.
Want more ways to save? Paramount+ with Showtime is a good deal on its own because it gives you more streaming options for one low price, but the streamer offers a student discount as well. Eligible students will receive a 25% off the Essential monthly plan. Click here for more details.
How to Watch Paramount+ on Prime Video
Amazon Prime members can subscribe to Paramount+ through Prime Video and receive a free trial for a week. The subscription applies to the ad-free streaming plan with Showtime.
With Prime Day kicking off next month, Amazon will be offering select channels for $0.99 cents per month for up to two months and up to 50% off Paramount+ and AMC+ for two months, the retailer announced on June 20.
