The series finale of Pam & Tommy, the highly anticipated miniseries centered on Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s sex tape saga, premiered on Hulu on Wednesday (March 9).
Lily James and Sebastian Stan star as the former couple in the eight-part limited series exploring the collision of celebrity, privacy and technology, and how the stolen tape became a “cultural obsession” that led into the reality TV era.
Seth Rogen, Nick Offerman, Taylor Schilling, Paul Ben Victor and Fred Hechinger round out the cast.
The first two episodes of the series dropped on Hulu on Feb. 2. New episodes premiered every Wednesday leading up to Wednesday’s finale episode. If you haven’t caught up on the series, it’s a great weekend binge. Episode one, titled “Drilling and Pounding,” recreates the moment Rand Gauther (Rogen) a disgruntled handyman for Anderson and Lee, discovers the tape. “I Love You Tommy,” the second episode, details the duo meeting for the first time and getting married four days later. Throughout the remaining episodes, audiences will see Pam & Tommy’s whirlwind love affair unfold, including how the sex tape leak affected their relationship.
“We’re looking back at these stories as kind of reckonings and realizing our own culpability in the way people have been treated and how as a society we treat women, particularly, not only through the media, but in all different levels,” James said in an interview. “It’s good to provoke a conversation, and it’s important for us all to sort of look inward and look at ourselves and try and do better.”

Anderson and Lee became the first celebrity couple to go viral, years before social media even existed. The exes, who never consented to the tape being distributed, won a copyright infringement lawsuit against the company that obtained and sold the footage online.
